Permission to perform on any part of French Market property must be granted by French Market Corporation staff.
All musicians must be registered with the French Market Corporation in order to perform on French Market property.
Performers will fully comply with the City of New Orleans Noise Ordinance.
Applications for the Performer Registration may be found on the Frequently Asked Questions webpage.
Applications are accepted and Performer Registrations are issued on designated Wednesdays from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. only. Email Jeremy at email@example.com for a registration schedule. Registrants must bring government issued identification to register.
As of May 13, 2011, the French Market Corporation no longer permits use of amplification throughout the French Market District. During special events and organized performance times and in specifically designated venues, amplification may be permitted. Approval for use of amplification is up to the discretion of the French Market Corporation.
