SECOND ANNUAL SATSUMA CELEBRATION AT THE FRENCH MARKET

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 15TH   10:00 A.M. TO 4:00 P.M.

 

ALL ACTIVITIES OCCUR AT THE FRENCH MARKET FARMERS MARKET

 

SATSUMAS (and other seasonal produce) FOR SALE BY BEN & BEN BECNEL’S PRODUCE  9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Farmers Market!!! One Day Only!!

10 am. to 2 p.m. Children’s Activities Tent: Craft activities, facepainting, balloon art, and Playbuild tabletop activity

FARMERS MARKET STAGE: Music, cooking demos, and culinary talks all day

10:15 a.m. Ben & Ben Becnel talk about their 2014 Satsuma crop and the Satsuma in general!

10:30 a.m. The Portera Sisters  (longtime daily Farmers Market vendors at the French Market) demonstrate Satsuma berry topping

11:00 a.m. Young Pinstripe Brass Band leads Satsuma Secondline with Chorus Girls Project as Dancing Satsumas!

12:00-1:30 p.m. T-Ray the Violinist

2:00-4:00 p.m.  Slow Food New Orleans presents cooking demos with live music

2 p.m. Chef Emily Vanlandingham of Locally Preserved

3 p.m. Chef Dan Esses of Three Muses

With musical interludes by guitarist Blake Amos  in between and during the demonstrations
